What was the name of the new faction in Mount & Blade Warband?

Our army dislikes sand, its course and rough.

ANSWER: The Sarranid Sultanat!

Mount & Blade Warband is a pretty major improvement on the original version, in large part because of a new faction: The Sarranid Sultanate. The Sarranids start out in the desert, where it’s constantly hounded by bandits, and offer a pretty harsh challenge.

Seasoned leaders will forgive the Sarranid for its weak infantry and turn their attention to the powerful cavalry instead. This means the Sarranids require rather different tactics than the other factions, but why play Mount & Blade if you’re not looking for an unpredictable challenge?
