Unreal Engine 5 Shows PS5 Gameplay
Epic shows off first Unreal Engine 5 tech demo on PlayStation 5 hardware
The latest and greatest from this Summer of Gaming Event is a real-time PlayStation 5 tech demo.
The playable tech demo is powered by Epic’s new Unreal Engine 5, and both the developers and Epic declared that the demo would be impossible without the “massive, massive increase in graphics performance” offered by PlayStation 5.
Epic’s statement: “This is not just a whole lot of polygons and memory. It’s also a lot of polygons being loaded every frame as you walk around through the environment and this sort of detail you don’t see in the world would absolutely not be possible at any scale without these breakthroughs that Sony’s made,” said Tim Sweeney.
Going next-gen: Epic is also working to launch Fortnite for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. While we still haven’t seen any other PlayStation 5 gameplay, the Unreal Engine 5 tech demo is the best indication of what to expect from Sony’s new console.

Daily Fact
Five Nights at Freddy’s 4, a pizzeria, and a bunch of 7s and 8s
The viral marketing campaign for 2015 horror game Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 featured a glitchy website that would display a series of 7s and 8s.
People quickly figured out that the sequence 8788788778 could be put into Google Maps and would show you a pizzeria. Unfortunately – but perhaps predictably – people started harassing the pizzeria, forcing Five Nights at Freddy’s creator Scott Cawthon to announce that the pizza place had nothing to do with the games.
The pizzeria owner, on the other hand, decided to make the best of the weird situation, and offered a Fazbears Pizzeria Special for a limited time.
