Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg has responded to reports that the Xbox Series X console runs quite hot, and vents a lot of heat.
The upcoming next-gen Xbox console has been praised for running quietly, but some testers have been concerned by how much heat it produces – even when idle without any game running.
It's nothing to worry about, apparently: “The console will output system heat out of the exhaust, just as any other console will,”tweeted Greenberg.
Same heat:“Our engineering team confirmed the heat leaving the console is not significantly different than Xbox One X. This matches my experience at home quiet, fast & impressive power for the size.” He rounds off by linking to a Guardian article praising the “barely audible hum of the machine’s single cooling fan.“
Teardown: On the other hand, PlayStation 5 seems to both run quiet and cool. Sony just streamed a PlayStation 5 teardown revealing and examining the console's inner workings.

Fighting words too naughty for the US
Fighting game Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 had a stage theme called Needles removed from its international version over a single naughty line in its lyrics. The offending line goes “I'm ready to f****** spill”. The PAL and Japanese versions kept the theme as it was.
In addition to a stray f-bomb, the soundtrack features a sample from a Brazilian beer commercial, including the brand's slogan “Kaiser, a great beer, the beer of happy moments” in Brazilian Portuguese.

New content coming to Marvel’s Avengers
Square Enix's ambitious service game Marvel's Avengers has started losing players already, but Crystal Dynamics promises to serve up more content in a matter of weeks.
“We are making fixes, improvements, and additions as fast as we safely can to make Marvel’s Avengers the game we all aspire it to be,”reads a statement from studio head Scot Amos. The initial excitement surrounding the game has died down, in large part because of a lack of variety in the late-game content.
Content soon: Crystal Dynamics is working on “a totally new War Zone mission type called Tachyon Rifts, a new Outpost that’s a jumping off point for new story missions in the future, and AIM’s Cloning Lab, which requires a coordinated high-level group of four players to beat with new top-end loot rewards for finishing it.”
Post-campaign: There are also new heroes in the pipeline, including the “two Hawkeyes” mentioned in the last War Table session. “These new Operations pick up right from where the main Reassemble campaign ended in the core game and will propel the overall world story forward with new mysteries and villains,” according to Crystal Dynamics.

Along the way, Kuna can collect power from special crystals which help him bounce higher, make fires, and even turn magnetic, letting the game expand upon its initial platforming.
Also, like other great platformers, Kuna will face varied levels that bring with them their own set of challenges, from deserts to frozen tundra to autumnal forests. Even as an overwhelming darkness might threaten the world as they know it, the game’s bright colors and high spirits help to keep things cheerful and peppy.
Tin & Kuna is out now in North America on Steam, Switch, PS4 and Xbox One for $29.99. A platformer’s home is on a console, so it’s definitely worth grabbing your controller. You probably know Crystal Dynamics for their work on the Tomb Raider and Legacy of Kain series, so you probably don't know that they were the first licensed developer for the 3DO. Their first game was Crash ‘n Burn, a launch title for the ill-fated console.
Crash ‘n Burn was a sci-fi racer meant to demonstrate the power of the 3DO with its thirty tracks and six racers. While it was fairly well-received, it was criticized for missing multiplayer. What's a racing game that you can't play with your mates?
A failed racing game that will fade into obscurity alongside the console it was meant to sell, that 's what. Fortunately, Crystal Dynamics survived the ordeal, and went on to become rather successful.
