Rockstar finally announces remastered versions of the Grand Theft Auto trilogy
Rockstar Games has finally announced Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, coming to PC and consoles to mark Grand Theft Auto 3's 20th anniversary.
- Coming to Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S and mobile
- PC and console launch later this year, mobile versions coming first half of next year
- Includes remastered versions of Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and San Andreas
- No word on whether there are other upgrades aside from improved graphics
Definitive: The reissued trilogy will feature “across-the-board upgrades including graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements” but it will be “maintaining the classic look and feel of the originals.”
Removal: The original versions of Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and San Andreas will all vanish from stores this week, which suggests the new versions are imminent – although Rockstar has yet to announce any firm release dates.
