PlayStation subscription reveal ‘imminent’

PlayStation Now logo and artwork

Sony will apparently unveil its answer to Microsoft's Game Pass this week, a tiered subscription service giving access to a library of games.

The service is codenamed Spartacus and will merge PlayStation Now and PlayStation Plus into one service, and presumably add some new features to boot.

  • Catalogue of modern PlayStation titles
  • Play older PlayStation games via emulation
  • Increased emphasis on Sony's streaming platform
  • PlayStation Now is also available on PC

Tier Access: The most expensive tier will supposedly give access to extended demos and game streaming. According to Bloomberg, PlayStation is outselling Xbox, but is lagging behind in streaming despite launching the PlayStation Now service over half a decade ago.

No Day One: Game Pass has become the standard-bearer for streaming and game library subscriptions, but Sony is clearly not particularly worried about losing ground to Microsoft: Sony first-party games will not be available on their subscription service on day one.

What alien menace does Crypto-137 face in Destroy All Humans! 2?

A Blisk Mutant as it looks in the original Destroy All Humans 2

ANSWER: The Blisk!

Destroy All Humans offered sandbox action and skewered old B movie vibes, and the sequel stretched the formula about as far as it could go. Most notably, it introduced a proper villain beyond puny earthlings.

The Blisk were a Martian race that somehow managed to be even more bloodthirsty than Crypto himself. While Crypto just wanted to engage in some friendly subjugation of the entire human race, the Blisk intended to scour all life from our precious blue orb – but not before engaging in some perverse genetic experiments. How dark will the remake dare to go?
