Nintendo is not talking about Switch Pro

Bowser is now running Nintendo of America

Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser was recently interviewed by The Washington Post, and Bowser gave a classic non-answer to the big question: When is Switch Pro coming?

“We are always looking at technology and how technology can enhance gameplay experiences. It’s not technology for technology’s sake,” Bowser said, which uh … doesn't really tell us much.

Possibly maybe: “Do you want to apply it on current existing hardware or platforms, or do you want to wait for the next platform?” he mused, probably smirking heartily at the frustration of rumourmongers everywhere.

Will neither confirm nor deny:“There’s a host of factors that goes into it, and it’s something we’re always looking at.” According to a recent Bloomberg report, Nintendo is on the very brink of announcing a new Switch model with 4K support.

Which Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas rumour came true in Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare?

a) Bigfoot
b) The Loch Ness Monster
c) Aliens
d) Ghost Cars

A little too hot under the jumpsuit

Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner allowed you to change Ken’s outfit in one of the cutscenes by making it too hot for her, forcing her to take off the top of her jump suit.

Zone of the Enders was created by Hideo Kojima

This slightly redundant costume modification takes place after you obtain the WISP sub-weapon and escape the Energy Facility. You need to take the Ardjet down close to lava until Ken complains about the heat 3 or 4 times, and ta-da! Silver trophy unlocked.

‘X-Wing vs TIE Fighter’ in Game Builder

Fans doing what big studios won’t

Game Builder Garage has been out for nearly two weeks, and the community has found its feet in spectacular fashion, creating a remarkable array of new and exciting games as well as homages and recreations of classics.

One of the most impressive efforts is an X-Wing vs TIE Fighter homage where you take an X-Wing into battle against 7 TIE fighters in a full 3D dogfight just like in the 90s classic.

Another ambitious tinkerer has put together a proof-of-concept CHIP-8 emulator, which could theoretically let you run ROMs but the 512 node limit is restricting the effort.

EA Motive is ‘reviving an established IP’

EA Play 2021 will be hosted July 22

Star Wars Squadrons developer EA Motive is about to reveal its next project, which apparently will be the revival of a popular IP and signs point towards Dead Space getting a new lease on life.

According to GamesBeat's Jeff Grubb, “I think you’ll be happy,” about what EA is bringing back. “We’re going to see it … if we’re not dead first”.

Dead giveaway: Fans are interpreting the last remark as a reference to Dead Space developers EA Redwood Shores, which later became Visceral Games, who shut down in 2017.

Revelations: The full announcement is expected at an EA Play event in the next few weeks. Keep your eyes peeled, and hope no-one sticks a needle in them.

Which Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas rumour came true in Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare?

Is the proper term for a bigfoot group Bigfoots or Bigfeet?

ANSWER: Bigfoot!

If you didn’t play Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas at launch, you probably have no idea how intense the speculation around Bigfoot was. Does he exist or not? Well, turns out he didn’t but Rockstar made sure to do something about that because there are Sasquatches in Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare. Start the quest The Birth of the Conservation Movement and head to Tall Trees, and voila!

Bag yourself a Bigfoot, and you earn the Six Years in the Making achievement, a reference to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas launching six years earlier. The French version calls the achievement “Plus la peine de chercher, CJ”, which means “No need to keep looking, CJ”. Of course, killing the Bigfoot means you are a terrible monster since they were just big peaceful apes chilling in the woods.
