COVID-19 Causes More Delays
Naughty Dog bummed by new delays
The Last Of Us 2 has been delayed again, and developer Naughty Dog said that “logistics beyond our control” are to blame.
The studio is “in the midst of fixing our final bugs” and development is “nearly done”, but there are uncontrollable confounding factors that prevent them from providing the “best experience for everyone.” Sony has also delayed Marvel’s Iron Man VR.
Official statement: “We were bummed about this decision but ultimately it’s what’s best and fair to all our players. We’re hoping that this won’t be a long delay and we’ll update you as soon as we have new information to share,” read Naughty Dog’s statement.
No new release date: The Last of Us Part II was originally scheduled to launch on February 21st, before being delayed to May 29th. Now there is no release date, most likely to avoid causing more disappointment if the on-going COVID-19 pandemic throws more spanners in the works.

Daily Fact
Star Wars: The Old Republic is the chattiest MMO ever created
Think you got something to say? Well, BioWare sure did since Star Wars: The Old Republic features over 200,000 lines of recorded dialogue, which earned the MMO a spot in the 2012 Gamer’s Edition of Guinness World Records.
You might think 200,000 lines was enough but no: Since then, six expansions and an untold number of new lines have been added. Rise of the Hutt Cartel and Shadow of Revan were both pretty story-heavy, and the single player-oriented expansions Knights of the Fallen Empire and Knights of the Eternal Throne added even more.
There is something ironic about an MMO, which should be all about creating your own adventures featuring such an insane amount of narration. Anyway, congratulations to BioWare for managing it all!

2020 British Academy Games Awards
The 2020 British Academy Games Awards ceremony was streamed online on Thursday, hosted by comedian Dara O Briain from his own home.
He joked that Hideo Kojima got the last laugh after people scoffed at Death Stranding’s idea that delivery people would be all-important in a post-apocalyptic world. The full list of nominees and winners can be found on the BAFTA website.
