The black sheep of the vampire family

Castlevania Legends isn’t the proudest moment for the venerable series, and the story has been struck from the record since it conflicts so much with the rest of the series.

The unwanted step-child of the Castlevania series

Producer Koji Igarashi called it “something of an embarrassment”, and blamed the failure on the developers lacking guidance from the original Castlevania team.

More feudal samurai fun on the way?

Sucker Punch is advertising for a narrative designer for a new game that sounds suspiciously like it might be a Ghost of Tsushima sequel.

Sucker Punch surprised fans with a free multiplayer update

Applicants should have a “desire to write stories set in feudal Japan” and should ideally have “knowledge of feudal Japanese history.”. Yup, that definitely sounds like it's related to Ghost of Tsushima.

Ghost of co-op: Of course, they could also be planning to add more content since Ghost of Tsushima has done surprisingly well. Sucker Punch just released a free update adding co-op multiplayer, and it's not exactly uncommon for developers to launch a bit of DLC for successful games.

Next-gen upgrade: They have already announced another update featuring a four-player raid where groups will enter “an entirely new realm to challenge a brutal, terrifying enemy.” Ghost of Tsushima will also be playable on PlayStation 5, increasing the frame rate to 60FPS.

To celebrate the start of a new generation of console gaming we are giving away a new PlayStation 5 to one lucky DailyBits reader. You can find out more about this giveaway on our dedicated page.

Which Starcraft hero was meant to star in the spin-off Starcraft: Ghost?

ANSWER: Nova!

Don't feel bad, Nova, you got some DLC in Starcraft II at least...

Like WarCraft Adventures: Lord of the Clans before it, StarCraft: Ghost tried and failed to expand Blizzard’s fictional universes into new genres. The stealth action game starred the ghost Nova, but StarCraft: Ghost didn’t live up to Blizzard’s high standards: The game was shelved in 2006, and finally confirmed cancelled in 2014 – 12 years after it was announced.

That didn’t stop its story from becoming part of the StarCraft canon. Nova appeared in Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm, as well as free-to-play MOBA Heroes of the Storm. She also appeared in StarCraft novels such as StarCraft Ghost: Nova and StarCraft Ghost: Spectres.
