Scott Pilgrim vs. the Canonical Ending

Each character in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game has their own ending, but there’s still only one canonical ending: Ramona’s, which follows the comic and the movie.

Scott Pilgrim is a graphic novel by Bryan Lee O'Malley

In Stephen Stills’ ending, there are 65,536 people at the gig, which is the highest number a 16-bit integer can hold. Sprites from the game appear in the after-credits scene in the movie.

Which RPG Maker horror game was adapted into a feature-length movie?

Trust me, giant blue people are super spoopy

ANSWER: Ao Oni!

RPG Maker may not be as fully-featured as game engines like Unity or Unreal, but it's still extremely popular and particularly with indie horror developers. Yume Nikki might have helped inspire creators, but Ao Oni really showed that less can be more. Sure, it looks a bit cheap but is masterfully crafted and inspired not on one but two film adaptations.

The first movie follows a group of teenagers poking around an abandoned jail, and starred idol singer Anna Iriyama. It was successful enough to merit a follow-up, although the critics were less than impressed with the acting. Either way, it's a real Cinderella story for indie developers: You can make a no-budget game in an off-the-shelf game making suite and before you know it, you've inspired a movie franchise.
