Privacy Policy

DailyBits ("we", "us") operates the DailyBits website and iOS app. For any privacy question, write to support@dailybits.news.

• Account data: your email address, an account identifier, and optional display name and language, created when you sign up.
• Briefing data: the topics, sources, tone and schedule you configure, plus the editions generated for you and the items you save.
• Delivery data: your timezone and email preferences, and a record of which emails were sent so we don't send duplicates.
• Voice input: if you dictate a briefing, the audio is sent for transcription and is not retained after the text is produced.
• Technical logs: standard server logs and error reports used to keep the service running.

We do not collect location data, contacts, health data, or advertising identifiers.

We use your data only to authenticate you, research and write your briefings, deliver them on your schedule, and support you when you ask. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

• Cloud hosting, database, authentication and file storage for the app itself.
• AI providers (including xAI and Perplexity) that receive your briefing topics and public article text in order to research and summarise the news.
• An email delivery provider that receives your address to send your editions.

These providers act on our instructions and are bound by their own security and confidentiality terms.

We keep your account, briefings and editions for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account removes your profile, briefings, generated editions and saved items from our database. Backups and provider logs age out on their normal cycles.

• Turn email delivery off or pause it at any time in the app or via the unsubscribe link.
• Edit or delete any individual briefing.
• Delete your entire account and its data from Settings → Delete account.
• Request access to, correction of, or a copy of your data by emailing support@dailybits.news.

Data is encrypted in transit, access to briefings is restricted to your account by row-level database policies, and administrative access is limited to what is needed to operate the service.

DailyBits is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you by email.
